Only two questions about global poverty have been asked in the history of modern presidential debates.

It’s a shocking figure and in 2008, we need debate moderator Jim Lehrer to ask John McCain and Barack Obama “Just ONE question” on their plans to fight global poverty. Hunger and malnutrition alone kill 15,000 children every single day – this level of violence would never be permitted in our country and it shouldn’t be permitted at all.

Because these issues matter to me, I just signed the ONE Campaign petition to Mr. Lehrer, asking him to pose a global poverty question at the first presidential debate.
